Market demand for a blackout switchable technology encouraged this development, however, due to the way PDLC technology operates, customers are often left disappointed that a true blackout switchable technology is physically impossible.

This fact encouraged us to begin work on a new product, a solution that blocks out even more light than standard switchable technology. This product is the closest switchable alternative to a blackout solution possible, blocking approx 44% of light and offering a darker switchable glass than has been seen in the past.

This unique technology has been made using a proprietary manufacturing process that allows us to produce this darker variation of standard PDLC technology.

The best of both worlds, Smart Glass Platinum is the perfect compromise between a near blackout effect and style, allowing users to enjoy enhanced privacy as well as benefit from the functionality of switchable technology.

Our brand new incredible ‘Smart Glass Platinum’ is a grey tinted Smart glass. The grey tint stays in the glass in the clear or private mode.

The shade of grey will vary deepening on the thickness of the smart glass chosen (this thicker the glass the darker the shade).

Please note this is not a ‘black out’ smart glass and it does not block light although in the darker shades will block more light than standard smart glass.

Sometimes you might wish to add a little colour to SMART GLASS, whether to tie in with a corporate brand, an interior design theme.

We have developed a number of manufacturing processes to add colour to switchable glass, including laminating with a colour resin or applying special transparent colour films. 

THIS MEANS THAT EVEN WHEN THE GLASS IS IN THE CLEAR STATE THE TINT WILL REMAIN!
